New Guangzhou Library

The new library of Guangzhou is located in the Huacheng Square on the edge of the Pearl River, at the intersection of the Guangzhou New Central Axis and the Pearl River Landscape. To the north is the ultra-high twin towers, the west is the second children’s palace, the south is the new museum of the provincial museum, and the southwest is the Guangzhou Opera House.

The architectural concept of the new Guangzhou Library is based on the concept of “beautiful books” and organizes the spatial form. After the completion of the new building, the plane and façade of the new building are in the shape of a Chinese character. The citizens will have a feeling of “stacking books” from any angle outside the hall. The roof is also developed for use as a viewing view.
