Guangdong Provincial Museum

The Guangdong Provincial Museum is located in the Pearl River New City, and the shape of the treasure box is very conspicuous. The museum began to be built in 1957. On October 1, 1959, the Guangdong Provincial Museum and its Guangzhou Lu Xun Memorial Hall were officially opened to the public.

The museum has three parts: the historical museum, the art gallery and the natural museum. It displays the history and culture of Guangdong Province and the folk customs of the localities. The collections of the “Lingnan Painting School” in the museum are very rich. The more precious exhibits include the “Whales Skeleton” in the natural specimens, the “Giant Malachite” and the “Xinyi Jade” weighing more than five tons. The skilled Chaozhou woodcarving works. It is also amazing.

Before you visit, you can take a look at the big screen in the hall. There will be free explanations for volunteers. Listening to the museum will have different rewards.
